Key objectives for this role:
- Ensure that all mechanical equipment, piping, and welded structures meet design specifications, industry codes, and client requirements.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and NDT inspections to verify fabrication, installation, and repair quality.
- Confirm adherence to API, ASME, and client standards during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Conduct thorough inspections of pipelines, pressure vessels, tanks, piping systems, and welds using UT, RT, MT, and PT techniques to detect corrosion, cracks, and defects.
- Verify weld quality against API/ASME standards, confirm welder qualifications, and recommend repairs or rework when necessary.
- Witness and evaluate hydrotests of pipelines and vessels, ensuring leak-free performance and compliance with safety permits.
- Apply fitness-for-service methodologies (e.g., B31G, fracture mechanics) to assess corrosion, deformation, and cracks, determining repair needs.
- Use risk models combining probability of failure and consequence to prioritize inspections and maintenance.

Expected:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills
- Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
- Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems
