Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance
Controller to oversee the financial operations of the organization and ensure
accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The ideal candidate will
have strong financial control, accounting, analytical, and leadership skills,
with the ability to provide reliable financial information and support
management in making informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
·
Oversee all financial and
accounting operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting,
and financial controls.
·
Ensure the accuracy,
completeness, and integrity of financial records and transactions.
·
Prepare, review, analyze,
and present timely financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
·
Monitor cash flow, working
capital, expenses, and overall financial performance.
·
Establish and maintain
effective financial controls, policies, and procedures.
·
Ensure compliance with
Iraqi accounting, tax, and financial regulations, as well as applicable
international accounting standards.
·
Coordinate and oversee
internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
·
Monitor tax compliance and
ensure all financial and statutory requirements are met on time.
·
Review financial
transactions, reconciliations, payments, and supporting documentation to ensure
accuracy and compliance.
·
Lead and supervise the
finance team, ensuring accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
·
Identify financial risks,
control weaknesses, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for operational
efficiency.
·
Provide financial analysis
and insights to support management in strategic and operational
decision-making.
·
Ensure proper implementation
and utilization of financial software and ERP systems.
·
Support the development and
monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
·
Maintain confidentiality
and ensure proper safeguarding of financial information and company assets.
Qualifications & Requirements
·
Bachelor’s degree in
Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional
certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
·
Minimum 5–7 years of
progressive experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a multinational,
hospitality, retail, or fast-paced organization.
·
Proven experience in
financial control, accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
·
Strong knowledge of
accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax laws in Iraq.
·
Strong understanding of
internal controls, audit processes, and financial risk management.
·
Advanced proficiency in
financial software, ERP systems, and MS Office, particularly Excel.
·
Excellent analytical,
problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
·
Strong leadership,
communication, and interpersonal skills.
·
High level of accuracy,
attention to detail, and integrity.
·
Ability to work under
pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
