WHY ARTELIA?

Join Artelia, an international engineering, consulting and project management group delivering complex and sustainable projects across infrastructure, buildings, mobility, water and energy.

In the Middle East, you’ll join a multicultural and growing environment where you can take ownership and make a visible impact.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the electrical engineering construction supervision activities on complex airport and infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, quality delivery, safe installation, testing, commissioning, and successful project handover while maintaining strong coordination with clients, contractors, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Review design documents, specifications, authority requirements, load schedules, calculations, single-line diagrams, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection plans, and technical proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Supervise the installation of MV/LV power distribution systems, substations, transformers, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, metering, controls, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Conduct regular site inspections, verify workmanship and installation quality, identify non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely close-out of defects.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, ICT, security, BMS, fire & life safety, airport systems, utility providers, and specialist consultants throughout project delivery.
• Witness and review FATs, SATs, functional testing, protection testing, integrated systems testing, operational trials, reliability demonstrations, and commissioning activities.
• Resolve site queries, design discrepancies, clashes, interface issues, capacity constraints, protection coordination concerns, and operational requirements in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Monitor contractor progress, identify delivery risks and delays, support progress reviews, payment assessments, technical meetings, quality reporting, and risk management activities.
• Promote safe execution of electrical works, ensuring compliance with project HSE requirements, energization procedures, LOTO requirements, temporary power arrangements, lifting operations, and operational-area safety controls.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Minimum 10-15 years of post-graduate experience in electrical engineering, including design review, construction supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover of complex projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Significant experience on airport terminals, MRO facilities, hangars, control towers, transportation hubs, operational buildings, or similarly complex infrastructure projects. GCC consultancy experience is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of MV/LV systems, substations, transformers, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, metering, controls, power quality, and systems integration.
• Working knowledge of UAE regulations, IEC, IEEE, BS, NFPA, BS 7671, CIBSE guidelines, and airport industry standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, Navisworks, ETAP, Amtech, Dialux, Relux, and collaborative project management platforms such as ACC/BIM 360 or Asite.
• Current UAE engineering registration or eligibility to obtain relevant professional licenses is preferred.
