Overview Of The Role:
The Sales Assistant is a critical member of the retail team responsible for driving sales and delivering a positive customer experience. The role includes handling various operational duties as assigned by store management, ensuring store cleanliness and organization, and engaging customers with enthusiasm and knowledge about products. Success is measured by the ability to maintain a welcoming shopping environment and providing efficient service to all customers.
What You Will Do:
Customer Interaction
Create a positive first impression for customers with an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere greeting.
Provide customers with current, relevant product information.
Thank all customers sincerely for shopping as they exit the store and invite them back.
Sales and Cash Management
Generate sales through excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
Provide quality service in fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, and attempt to increase sales with add-ons.
Offer gift cards at the cash wrap, maintain its cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.
Store Maintenance
Maintain store standards and cleanliness to create a sparkling clean and organized environment.
Perform housekeeping duties and uphold visual presentation standards.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform duties requiring physical stamina.
Proficiency with sales management software and customer database systems.
Enthusiastic and energetic attitude leading to positive customer interactions.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
High School Degree.
1-2 years of retail sales experience.
Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) packages such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
Good verbal communication skills; capability of performing some heavy lifting and standing for a minimum of 8 hours.
