Job Overview
The HSE Supervisor is responsible for
ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant working environment at
the Floria City Project. The role focuses on implementing, monitoring, and
improving health, safety, and environmental systems in line with project
objectives, legal requirements, and ISO standards. The HSE Supervisor will work
closely with engineering, quality, and site teams to prevent accidents, reduce
environmental impact, and promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure the implementation of health,
safety, and environmental measures across the project site.
Identify, evaluate, and control unsafe
conditions, practices, and environmental risks.
Support staff in identifying
environmental aspects and setting project objectives and targets.
Investigate incidents and identify
root causes related to safety and industrial hygiene issues.
Develop and implement hazard control
processes, methods, and safety programs.
Recommend corrective and preventive
actions for areas requiring improvement.
Advise on effective methods for
controlling potential safety and environmental threats.
Monitor the implementation of safety
plans in line with approved objectives and schedules.
Track and monitor HSE systems using
computer systems, reports, and spreadsheets.
Communicate HSE plans, procedures, and
strategies across the project and business units as required.
Maintain and manage safety-related
equipment, tools, and processes for each project phase.
Promote preventive environmental
practices such as waste management, recycling, pollution control, and proper
disposal methods.
Coordinate and collaborate with
engineering teams, QA/QC, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement staff.
Measure, audit, and report on the
effectiveness of hazard control and HSE programs.
Prepare and update future safety plans
based on lessons learned, site data, and past incidents.
Collect and maintain quantitative and
qualitative HSE data related to construction activities.
Implement
and enforce traffic management plans – Ensure safe vehicle movement by
establishing traffic routes, speed limits, signage, barriers, and designated
pedestrian walkways within the construction site.
Monitor and control vehicle operations
– Conduct regular inspections, ensure trained drivers and flaggers are present,
and verify that vehicles and heavy equipment operate safely to prevent
collisions or injuries.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in
Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering,
or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an
HSE role, preferably in construction or large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of construction
safety practices, environmental controls, and risk assessment.
Familiarity with ISO 14000 / ISO 14001
standards and HSE regulatory requirements.
Experience in audits, inspections,
incident investigation, and reporting.
Ability to work closely with
multidisciplinary teams on-site.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel,
Word, reporting tools).
Strong communication, observation, and
problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under
pressure and ensure compliance in a fast-paced construction environment.
