The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Graduate Project Engineer - UAE National to join our UAE Business Unit.

Wood has been awarded a general engineering contract to support an International Client operator to deliver a portfolio of onshore capital projects by provision of engineering and project management services (including EPC contract management), as well as Supply Chain, Construction and Commissioning support from Wood Iraq and UAE offices.
Projects include both Greenfield and Brownfield modification projects and integrating low-carbon solutions to support our client’s energy transition and emissions reduction goals.

- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and vendors to support project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports.
- Support the preparation and review of technical documents, drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.
- Track project schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, and HSE requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and action logs.
- Assist in identifying project risks and support mitigation plans.
- Conduct site visits and inspections, where required, to monitor project activities.
- Support procurement activities by coordinating material requests, quotations, and vendor communications.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure proper record management.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience
- Fresh graduates or up to 2 years of relevant engineering/project coordination experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with project management principles and tools is desirable.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
