Technical Sales Engineer – Automotive / EV Charging (Baghdad)

Job Overview:
A well-known automotive company in Baghdad is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer for its EV charging business, covering Wallbox and Grasen products. You’ll combine sales, client relationships, and hands-on technical support, from identifying opportunities and preparing proposals to installation, commissioning, and after-sales service. This is a full-time role, 8.5 hours a day, 6 working days a week with one rotating day.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

Work with the Wallbox and Grasen teams to develop customized solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards
Identify and follow up on new business opportunities, including untapped market segments and partnerships
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to ensure long-term engagement and repeat business
Develop and implement sales initiatives, promotions, and pricing strategies
Analyze industry trends, competitors, regulatory changes, and customer feedback to provide actionable insights
Prepare and deliver professional proposals and presentations tailored to client needs
Support tender preparation and submission
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences

Coordination & Project Support

Work closely with engineering and marketing teams to align product, sales, and marketing strategies
Assist in planning and executing Wallbox and Grasen charging station projects, meeting timelines and quality goals
Keep in regular contact with Wallbox and Grasen on new products and updates, and share them internally
Follow up with manufacturers on product availability, delivery timelines, and shipment status
Stay up to date on new technologies and run internal training sessions on product updates
Coordinate spare parts inventory and replacements with suppliers

Technical Support & Service

Provide technical support for Wallbox and Grasen EV chargers (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)

Assist with installation and commissioning of AC and DC charging units

Conduct on-site and remote diagnostics, escalating complex issues when needed

Handle after-sales support, warranty claims, and service requests

Apply and monitor firmware and software updates on installed units

Train clients and partners on proper charger use and basic troubleshooting

Work with R&D and manufacturing teams to track and report product issues

Take part in product testing and quality assurance before deployment

Conduct technical site inspections and feasibility assessments

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in technical sales or electrical systems
Good command of English (spoken and written) and Arabic
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Willingness to travel locally for site visits
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of AC/DC systems or EV charging technology
Familiarity with firmware and software updates
