The key objectives for this role are:
The Senior SP3D Structural Designer is responsible for delivering high-quality 3D structural design and modeling using SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) for ADNOC offshore projects. The role supports detailed engineering activities within the Central Engineering Division, ensuring accurate, clash-free, and constructible structural designs in line with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and offshore execution requirements. The position plays a key role in coordinating across disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural elements within complex offshore facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural models using SP3D for offshore oil and gas facilities, including jackets, topsides, decks, modules, and support structures
- Produce accurate 2D drawings such as GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and isometrics derived from SP3D models
- Ensure all structural designs comply with ADNOC standards, international codes, and project specifications
- Coordinate closely with piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure clash-free and integrated designs
- Perform model reviews and participate in design review meetings, including 3D model walkthroughs with stakeholders and clients
- Incorporate vendor data, engineering inputs, and site requirements into structural models
- Support constructability reviews and ensure designs are optimized for offshore fabrication and installation
- Assist in resolving site queries, technical clarifications, and design changes during project execution
- Maintain model integrity, consistency, and data accuracy throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior designers and ensure adherence to project drafting standards and best practices
- Ensure timely delivery of design deliverables in line with project schedules and milestones
- Support interface management between engineering teams and offshore construction teams where required.

Expected:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in structural design and drafting within the oil & gas industry
- Proven experience working on ADNOC offshore projects or similar Middle East offshore developments is highly preferred
- Strong hands-on expertise in SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) is mandatory
- Proficiency in related tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other 3D review platforms
- Extensive experience in offshore structural systems including jackets, topsides, pipe racks, platforms, and modules
- Sound understanding of offshore design practices, fabrication methodologies, and installation constraints
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., AISC, BS, API, ISO) and ADNOC engineering standards
- Strong coordination skills with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced EPC/EPCM/PMC environment on multi-billion-dollar offshore projects
- Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Prior experience within a central engineering or shared services environment is an advantage.
