Sr. Manager Country Distribution Center
We’re looking for a Senior Distribution Center Manager to join the team and focus on growing our
own Grocery Store “tMart”, which is the region’s first cloud store concept offering 30-minutedelivery
of groceries at hypermarket prices. The service has expanded rapidly across Kuwait, UAE, Qatar,
Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman and Iraq!
You will direct activities of the tMart supply chain (DC + Transp) function within the group
incorporating strategic initiatives as well as tactical and operational functions. To manage creation
and effective execution of all projects.
● Defining best practices, strategies, standard operating procedures, and policies throughout
the logistics, in coordination with local managers
● Training all personnel, in all countries on the developed SOPs, strategies and policies
● Monitoring and ensuring that the implementation of standardization of best practices,
processes and procedures is carried out in coordination with local managers
● Setting performance measures and key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring regular
monitoring and improvement of performance gaps
● Managing/coordinating special projects (such as freight bidding, establishing an RDC, etc.)
● Completing process analysis, identifying, and recommending improvement opportunities
● Developing logistics network and ensuring continuous monitoring of network in terms of cost
and efficiency
● Ensuring cross functional coordination between logistics units and other divisions
● Working on streamlining and reengineering the business processes through mapping the
current processes, pinpointing non-value-add activities, and standardizing the new
optimized processes in an SO
● Working on developing the Logistics team through ensuring continuous training programs
● Overseeing the strategic planning process, including long-term expansion plans and supply
chain network design
● Overseeing all the supply chain tactical and operational functions and ensuring they run as
smoothly and efficiently as possible
● Overseeing all special projects for tMart, including establishing new warehouses, inviting
freight forwarders for biddings and designing the supply chain network
● Overseeing the regional supply chain architecture design
You will have experience in Logistics and supply chain, with minimum 6 years’ experience at a
managerial level
● University Graduate degree in Engineering (Business, Systems Engineering) or other related
field + Master’s Degree
● You are very detail-oriented, structured and know how to prioritize -- you consider yourself
as someone who delivers solutions and not bottlenecks to be solved.
● You are a strong leader and passionate abut developing others.
● You can interact with senior-level executives and can manage the expectations of multiple
stakeholders.
● You are someone energized by the unknown and look forward to learning each day on the job.
● You have excellent analytical and communication skills, and always like to be hands-on with
several tools.
● Language skills: Fluent English and Arabic would be highly advantageous.
