The resort comprises of 360 contemporary guest rooms and suites, 182 serviced apartments, 4 ultra-luxury villas, Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane, Fitness Centre, Kids Club and offers a large variety of dining options with 7 restaurants, 5 bars, and lounges.
- Respond promptly to guest calls and departmental work orders (e.g. HotSOS); give priority to guest-occupied rooms and villas
- Carry out first-line repairs across trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, minor carpentry, locks and general maintenance
- Perform scheduled plant room rounds, recording readings for chillers, AHUs/FCUs, boilers, pumps, water tanks, pools and generators
- Monitor the BMS and fire alarm panel; act immediately on alarms and escalate to the Duty Engineer as needed
- Act as a member of the emergency response team: fire, flooding, power failure, lift entrapment and gas leaks
- Check public areas, lighting, signage and pool and beach equipment during rounds; fix or report defects
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks assigned by the supervisor during quieter periods
- Issue and follow permit-to-work and lock-out/tag-out procedures; supervise contractors working during the shift
- Complete the shift log and give a clear handover to the next shift, including open jobs and recurring issues
- Record energy and water meter readings and support Planet 21 sustainability actions
- Be courteous and discreet with guests when working in rooms and public areas
- Follow Health & Safety, Dubai Civil Defence and Accor standards, and keep tools and the workshop clean
- Diploma or technical certificate in electrical, mechanical or HVAC engineering, or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 3 years' multi-skilled maintenance experience, ideally in a 5-star hotel or resort
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems (LV), plumbing, HVAC and building management systems
- Familiarity with fire safety systems and emergency procedures
- Good spoken and written English
- Computer literate; able to use the maintenance system and shift logs
