Overview Of The Role:
As a Sales Team Leader at IKEA, you will be responsible for overseeing sales and product range strategies within the designated Business Area. The role involves selecting and pricing products for local markets, achieving sales and margin goals, and optimizing sales operations. You will collaborate with various teams, including shopkeepers and logistics, to ensure efficient supply chain and competitive pricing. Leadership and development of the sales team is crucial to maintaining IKEA's market position and achieving sustainability goals. Your success in this role will be measured by achieving sales targets, enhancing the customer experience, and promoting a positive work environment.
What You Will Do:
Ensure implementation of IKEA Concept Documentation systems and methods in sales and range across all stores.
Define the range in the sales area of Showroom and Markethall for all stores.
Collaborate with shopkeepers to select suppliers and manage contracts for economies of scale.
Enhance competitive strength by updating on local market conditions and implementing range issues as per IKEA Concept Documentation.
Steer sales performance for maximized sales and optimized profit following IKEA methods.
Perform range administration using the sales IT-system for Business Area products.
Work with Logistics to adjust sales forecasts and achieve an optimal goods flow.
Set and adjust prices on the IKEA range to maintain low-price leadership.
Contribute to the IKEA Sales & Range action plan development using store and country business plans.
Maintain weekly contact and support for shopkeepers.
Ensure product availability for marketing activities in coordination with Logistics.
Support stores with buying guides for complex product series.
Coordinate between stores, retail management, and the IKEA distributor on range issues.
Maintain market knowledge on customers, trends, and competitors.
Achieve sales budgets for the IKEA range.
Ensure top-selling products are available, displayed, and promote alternatives.
Support shopkeepers in conducting and acting on local competitor analysis.
Develop Sales team through training on the IKEA Concept and roles.
Empower and coach Sales co-workers for improved performance and growth.
Promote a strong and diverse IKEA culture as an excellent workplace.
Secure local adaptation of global and country sustainability directions.
Align resources and budget for sustainability within the market.
Follow-up on sustainability performance using tools and methods.
Promote integration of sustainability in functions with best practices and solutions.
Document and evaluate sustainability initiatives for continuous improvement.

What Qualifies You For The Role:
High School Credential.
2-5 years of retail experience, ideally within IKEA in similar roles.
Genuine interest in home furnishings and customer service.
Proficient in English and Arabic (preferred), with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
