Job Objectives:
Provides technical engineering support to Operations and Maintenance activities across assigned contracts, assets, or project areas. The role supports safe, efficient, and compliant delivery by applying O&M field experience, discipline knowledge, and practical engineering judgement.
The Operations Engineer supports the development, review, and implementation of O&M processes, procedures, work instructions, technical standards, and performance improvement initiatives. The role also contributes to tendering and business development activity by providing discipline input, operational assumptions, technical information, and lessons learned from O&M delivery.
Contributes to Operations and Maintenance excellence through:
- Supporting safe and reliable O&M delivery in line with HSEA expectations.
- Providing practical technical support to operations, maintenance, delivery, and plant teams.
- Assisting with the preparation, review, and improvement of O&M procedures and processes.
- Supporting tender and proposal activity by contributing technical and operational content.
- Supporting delivery against KPIs, client requirements, and assigned business objectives.
- Participating in incident reviews, technical assurance, audits, and continuous improvement activities as required.
- Supporting in contract delivery, procurement support and stakeholder engagement activities
- Engage with site personnel and support in delivery of work with site visits in MEAC regions (e.g Iraq)
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery:
- Provide engineering support to O&M contracts, projects, and operational assets in line with agreed scopes, standards, and procedures.
- Support troubleshooting, technical queries, site issues, and operational improvement activities within own discipline area.
- Assist with performance reporting, KPI monitoring, and the identification of improvement opportunities.
Procedures and Assurance:
- Support the preparation, review, update, and implementation of O&M procedures, work instructions, method statements, and supporting documentation.
- Promote compliance with company, client, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.
- Participate in audits, assurance reviews, incident investigations, and lessons-learned activities as required.
Tender and Business Support:
- Support tender, proposal, and business development activities by providing O&M technical input, operational assumptions, activity descriptions, resource information, and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to bid clarifications, technical schedules, execution plans, and mobilisation planning where required.
General:
- Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, engineering, project delivery, commercial, and business development teams.
- Maintain own technical competence and keep aware of relevant O&M practices, standards, and industry developments.
- Act in accordance with company values, HSEA expectations, and ethical standards.
Working Relationships:
Internal:
- Work with operations, maintenance, engineering, project delivery, commercial, and business development teams to support delivery requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with discipline focal points, site teams, contract teams, and functional stakeholders.
- Support knowledge sharing across the wider O&M community and contribute lessons learned from field delivery.
- Engage with bid, tender, and proposal teams to provide technical and operational input when required.
External:
- Liaise with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers where required to support technical delivery and clarification of requirements (Under Supervision)

Expected:
- Degree, or equivalent qualification in an engineering, operations, or maintenance discipline.
- Relevant O&M field experience - is advantageous
- Relevant O&M project experience in MEAC region - minimum 2 years and above
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Typically requires relevant experience in an O&M, site support, or maintenance environment and should demonstrate:
- Practical experience in operations and maintenance contr delivery.
- Understanding of O&M procedures, work instructions, technical standards, assurance requirements, and safe systems of work.
- Ability to review, update, and develop procedures and supporting technical documentation.
- Ability to support tender and proposal activities by providing practical technical input and operational delivery assumptions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear technical content.
- Ability to work collaboratively across site, contract, engineering, commercial, and business development teams.
- Basic Awareness of relevant regulatory, client, and company requirements applicable to O&M delivery.
