Lifting Operations Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lifting Operations Trainer with strong technical expertise in lifting operations, industrial inspection, and compliance with international standards. The successful candidate will deliver professional training programs, supervise trainees, support inspection activities, and contribute to business development initiatives.

This position is suited for a trainer with extensive inspection knowledge and hands‑on industry experience.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (10 years experience) OR Diploma/HND in Engineering (12 years experience)
• LEEA-approved trainer or equivalent qualification acceptable to QELNG

• Mandatory LEEA Foundation Programme (Level 1), Lifting Gear General, Runways & Crane Structures, Lifting Machines Manual & Power, Overhead & Mobile Cranes, Offshore Containers (or equivalent)

• Strong knowledge of international lifting equipment codes and standards.

• Full proficiency in inspection & training techniques and ability to select appropriate methods.

• Experience in:

  • Reviewing and approving inspection procedures & training materials
  • Supervising trainers and training delivery
  • Verifying non‑conformities and approving corrective actions
  • Identifying business opportunities and coordinating with internal departments
  • Delivering high‑quality technical training

• Strong skills in:

  • Report writing
  • Computer applications
  • English communication

• Arabic language skills are an added advantage.

Recommended Trainer Qualification Criteria (Meeting Both QE & QELNG Requirements)

To ensure compliance with both QatarEnergy and QatarEnergy LNG requirements, an LE Trainer should:

1.Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized university (preferred) or Diploma/HND in Engineering.

2.Hold LEEA certifications including:

• LEEA Foundation Programme (Level 1)
• Lifting Gear General
• Runways and Crane Structures
• Lifting Machines Manual & Power
• Overhead & Mobile Cranes
• Offshore Containers

3.Have a minimum of: related to lifting equipment, lifting operations, inspection, certification, and training.

• 10 years' experience (Degree Holder), or
• 12 years' experience (Diploma/HND Holder)

4.Successfully complete an internationally recognized Train-the-Trainer programme.

5.Possess at least 3 years of documented training delivery experience in lifting-related disciplines.

6.Be authorized by a QatarEnergy-approved Training Service Provider.

7.Demonstrate competency in:

• Classroom instruction.
• Practical field training.
• Written, oral, and practical assessments.
• Competency evaluation.
• Training record management.
• Certification administration.

8.Have comprehensive knowledge of:

• QatarEnergy lifting requirements.
• QatarEnergy LNG lifting procedures.
• LEEA guidance documents.
• LOLER, BS 7121, ASME B30 Series, ISO Standards, and relevant lifting regulations.
