About the Role:
We are seeking a creative, proactive, and digitally savvy Social Media Specialist to join our team in Erbil and drive the online presence of our growing brands, NEWAL and ZIO. This role is ideal for someone who understands social media trends, audience engagement, and performance-driven content creation.
The ideal candidate is passionate about building communities, crafting compelling content, and translating brand strategy into impactful digital storytelling across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help implement the social media content plan provided by the marketing team or supervisor.
- Prepare, schedule, and post content on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) following the content calendar.
- Work closely with external agencies and freelancers to ensure content and campaigns are delivered on time.
- Assist in running social media ads by providing assets, monitoring schedules, and sharing basic performance updates with the supervisor.
- Make sure all posts reflect the brand’s voice, visuals, and messaging consistently across channels.
- Stay up-to-date on the brand’s products, including new launches, and ensure content accurately highlights them.
- Track engagement and social media activity, and report insights to the supervisor.
- Respond to comments and messages from the online community, escalating any issues when necessary.
- Keep up with social media trends and platform updates to provide suggestions to the team.
- Support influencer collaborations and campaign execution as directed by the supervisor.
- Ensure all content meets brand guidelines and has the required approvals before posting.
- Help with administrative tasks for social media, such as organizing media files, managing calendars, and compiling performance reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Diploma degree required, with minimum 4 years of experience in a related field, relevant certifications are a plus.
- Good communication skills in Kurdish and English are mandatory, Arabic is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
