JOB DESRIPTION:-
The Logistics Officer is responsible for
planning, coordinating, and monitoring all logistics activities related to the
transportation, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and
supplies. The role ensures that materials and equipment are delivered to
offices and project sites on time, in the required quantities and condition,
while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with company
procedures.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate
the transportation and shipment of materials, equipment, and supplies between
suppliers, project sites, warehouses, and company offices.
Monitor the
receipt and delivery of materials and ensure that quantities and specifications
match approved requests and purchase orders.
Coordinate
with suppliers, transportation companies, and relevant stakeholders to ensure
timely and efficient deliveries.
Monitor
inventory levels and maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and
supplies.
Prepare periodic
inventory reports, including available quantities, consumption levels, and
anticipated future requirements.
Supervise
storage activities and ensure that materials and equipment are properly stored,
protected, and maintained in accordance with company standards.
Prepare,
verify, and maintain shipping, delivery, receiving, and handover documentation
and ensure proper filing and archiving.
Coordinate
closely with the Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and Project teams to ensure
smooth and timely logistics operations.
Follow up
on the transportation and movement of construction materials, tools, machinery,
and equipment between project sites and other locations.
Monitor
company vehicles and equipment, coordinate routine maintenance requirements,
and follow up on their operational readiness.
Coordinate
vehicle scheduling and transportation requirements based on project and
operational needs.
Prepare
periodic logistics reports covering logistics activities, inventory levels,
deliveries, transportation performance, and supplier/carrier performance.
Identify
logistics-related issues and delays and coordinate appropriate solutions to
minimize operational disruptions.
Ensure
compliance with company policies, procedures, health and safety requirements,
and applicable standards.
Perform other logistics and operational duties
as assigned by management.Qualifications:-
Bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management,
Logistics, or a related field.
2–5 years of
relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or a similar
role.
Previous
experience in construction, real estate development, engineering projects, or a
project-based environment is preferred.
Good knowledge
of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Good understanding
of inventory management, transportation coordination, and logistics
documentation.
Strong
organizational, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Ability to
manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Good
communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English.
Ability to work
effectively with suppliers, contractors, transportation providers, and internal
departments.
